How much cthulhu like stuff is in the adventure

Strange Aeons

I could end up running this, but would like to know if cthulhu-like and/or dominion of the black type material are going to be fairly significant.

Definitely yes on the cthulu-like. There is no particular tie in with Dominion of the Black.

Do you mean "Lovecraft-like" or "Cthulhu-like". There isn't a huge amount of Cthulhu in the AP. Mainly:

Spoiler:

* Hastur
* The Dreamlands
* The Great Race of Yith
* Xhamen-Dor

Other assorted mythos elements like Cthulhu, Shub, etc are present but in minor roles.

Either one

It's pretty removed from any specific group in Golarion.

Themes + Monsters + Story Spoilers:
After the second book, the PCs stop interacting with the world as a whole in any strictly major way, and are basically running around messing with stuff behind the scenes, dealing with world-ending threats that no one is going to know about (and specifically they shouldn't know about it, considering what implications that would have). And I think that's definitely one of the most Lovecraft like things, the fact that the heroes will never be known for being heroes, and the people of Golarion will go on blissfully ignorant, not knowing how close they came to being completely annihilated from existence. There's no dealing with any global or larger forces like the Dominion of the Black, and for the first four modules of the campaign, the PCs are basically just after one guy, depending on their motivations.

Early on the PCs will focus on fighting a few small sects of cultists (and a few weirdly-placed gnolls) before moving on to fighting children and avatars of great old ones, and one very memorable encounter with an actual minor great old one that is very Cthulhu-like. I don't recall Cthulhu himself getting any real lip-service in this one, but there's definitely plenty of brine-based monsters hanging around in the second adventure especially. There's not too many tentacled horrors in this one, at least not as many as you might expect, but it draws from other areas of the mythos to bring both familiar and more obscure mythos creatures to the table (relatively more obscure than Cthulhu, at least), and many of the things players encounter will be creepy in refreshingly different ways.

In summary, yes, there will be lots of Lovecraft-type stuff in this campaign.
