Hi all,
I just rolled up a level 9 Pearl Seeker Paladin for a higher-level underwater campaign, and I'm having a hard time finding clarification on proper level advancement for my Divine Hippocampus.
Here's what the rules say:
At 5th level, a pearl seeker must choose a mount as her divine bond, gaining a hippocampus mount with the following companion statistics.Size Large; Speed 5 ft., swim 80 ft.; AC +4 natural armor; Attack bite (1d6), tail slap (1d4; secondary attack); Ability Scores Str 18, Dex 13, Con 15, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 11; Special Qualities darkvision 60 ft., low-light vision, scent, water dependency.
Do the given stats represent a level 1 or level 5 Divine Hippocampus? It's hard to tell, since they don't match the stats for a regular Hippocampus from the bestiary.
I'm ultimately trying to figure out overall statistics after advancing it to level 9 (based on the Animal Companion rules).
