Base Pawn Set vs Core Rule book Pawn Collection

General Discussion

Hello,
New to Starfinder.
Is there overlap between the Base Pawn Set, and the Core Rule book pawn collection?

I am unsure if i need both or just the Core.

Also, does either set come with bases? I have read some sets dont. I dont have any Pathfinder stuff so this is my first foray in Piazo products.

THanks for any advice.

The Pawn Base Assortment is just a bag of bases for standard-sized pawns, no pawns included. The Core Rulebook Pawn Collection is a bunch of pawns (mostly humanoids and starships) without bases.

You might also be interested in the Alien Archive Pawn Set, which has a lot more monsters and other creatures in it.

I hope that clears it up for ya.

The Alien Archive Pawn Set also comes with bases FYI. So you could get the Alien Archive Set and the Core Rulebook Pawn Collection and you would be set for a while.

Ah didn't know the AA set came with bases too! Wish I had seen this earlier to save a few bucks - I couldn't tell from the box.
