Writing 1st campaign. Advice wanted.

Homebrew and House Rules

Obligatory first post - sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

[Long post] Advice requested:

Having never written a homebrew campaign but GM'd a bit, I've come here to ask for some feedback on my first. I've had this campaign idea in my head for a while that is loosely based on the recurrent villains of Battlestar Galactica and I believe I have finally figured out a way to make it viable, interesting, and fun. I typed out a bunch of notes last night during some free time at work and I was hoping you all wouldn't mind taking a look at them. After reading, does it sound like a fun campaign idea? Does it make sense? Is it too much? What else should I make a point of fleshing out? Thanks for any advice!

Synopsis of campaign: can be from lvl 1-20 if want.

Fey Eldest (Queen Nyrissa - Stupid high lvl) wants to bring the Material plane (River Kingdom/more?) in to her 1st world & Find Briar - Major artifact thought needed to bring back Count Ranalc to love her once more

Influences a Druid(s) (through Norn’s?) to change Ghoran for agents on the Material Plane

Druid wishes to help Ghoran blend into society more. Discovers need live recombinant DNA (or whatever for fantasy terms)

(Ghoran were created for Nex to use and Count hated Nex so would be great to use enemy’s items to make his comeback from Shadow Plane)

Party is 1st successful samples to be paired with Ghoran DNA

Druid that thought to help the Ghorans change was captured?/Possessed?/screwed but sent the party members away in last act of goodness? What happened to Druid? (Party's memory is fuzzy and doesn't remember any of this - too young?)

Mid-BBG (lvl 10ish?) (Druids in Osirion? From Gardens of Shepaskan?) now has limited formula (read as party members only) to make Ghoran blend in to society (Ghoran can change shape - limited to normal Ghoran, shape of person that personality was stolen from and shape of party member that DNA used)

Process destroys Ghoran seeding ability but allows for memory receptacle “seed” to “catch” memories

Ghoran keep coming back unless memory receptacle destroyed (doesn't happen till much later in campaign)

Ghoran has similar abilities to party member but not exactly the same

Use them to spread influence/gather more people for end plan

Party has large? scars somewhere on body that tingle/burn? when near Ghoran that has their DNA

CAMPAIGN START
Party drawn to Bellis by dreams.  Honey festival.  Enjoy and have fun. Things happen. Fey attack because Lumberjacks messed up/destroyed sacred space b/c looking for more Darkwood.

Maybe encounter decaying, failed pairing.  Party may or may not know what it is.

Encounter more Fey creatures and Lumberjacks.  Maybe more?

Lumberjacks attack but may give up info if party does not murder-hobo them

Say were told to do it by the local Gavel and Overboss

Somehow tie local Gavel and Overboss to new lord

New lord (“child” of old lord = copy placed to spread influence and get money) of Lumber Consortium is pushing for more Darkwood to get more money.   Lumber Consortium working through Aspis Consortium to get money/sell slaves/test subjects.

Aspis Consortium

Cassomir

Nex?

Osirion for Gardens?

Is it not possible to edit your posts? I was going to add more to make the make it all make more sense as to how the start intertwines with the overall story arc.

So apparently you can only edit the posts made after the initial post? Weird.

I believe you have about 2 hours to edit a post after you submit it. I don't think it's any different with a first post, but you probably have that same amount of time to delete and start over.

As for your campaign, I don't have any advice at this point, since I don't know much about Ghoran or Golarian politics or personas. I will say that having the PCs encounter 'wrong' versions of themselves is probably fun.

I believe it is a 1 hour edit window. Many people with brainstorm threads just make successive posts sometimes with a keyword 'header' to help organize at a glance.

I don't see a problem with your idea per se, btw.
