I have tried penandpapergames, nearbygamers, and boardgamegeek. I tried the gamer connection forum here, but it appears to be dead. Worse, it's difficult to use.
I run games in Saint Cloud MN, right in the middle of the state.
How the heck do I find players? Does anybody out there have suggestions? I have a pair of campaigns running now, but 2 of my 5 players are leaving and I want to replace them.

There is also a PFS discord worth checking out
Another option is to literally stick a flier up at the local game store.
That is what happens here.
You can also check This Handy Map which people have put themselves on, see who is near you, pop them a PM on the boards and see if any of them have space for a game or can point you to a game.

St. Cloud should be big enough to find plenty gamers. Meetup.com maybe?
I've tried that in the past, and it fizzled. Apparently you first have to pay to create a group, and then you wait. To make it appeal to as many as possible, I tried a lot of interests, but especially tabletop rpgs. No dice.
I've also tried searching for groups. Really, I had better luck with the various gaming websites out there. Sigh. I suppose I should just wait to see if the 3 websites I tried pan out.

I tried putting up fliers in the local game store or two. Nothing. Apparently most people here play Magic at most, or board games. I will try the website you mentioned.
