Carrion Hill and pregens

Hello fellows,

I have been thinking about GMing Carrion Hill as a Halloween adv to a group of friends. Most of them begginers.

I know we have some examples by the end of the module. But I would like to know if would be a good idea to I give them the 4th lvl PFS pregens instead.
Would them be too weak for a module designed to lvl 5?

The final boss is CR10, so 5th level PCs would have a very hard time, let alone 4th level PCs.

I agree that 4th level PCs would likely have a hard time.

You might consider using Level 7 PFS Pregens. It gives the PCs a bit of a boost, but I've done it and it still works well. Further, for a one-shot Halloween Adventure, it means the PCs have more durability and mobility, and so can get through the adventure more quickly. Carrion Hill has a lot of locations to visit and can get a touch bogged down.
