I'm not a 100% sure how ability score increases and personal upgrades interact. Or if I overlooked something.
Is the personal upgrade "on top" of your ability score (as indicated by the character sheets having an "upgraded score" section)?
Or is it integrated (since I can't see any way to "remove" the upgrade either.)?
So, if I have a 14 in a score, get a personal upgrade and THEN want to put a ability score increase into it, what do I get?
E.g.:
Do I have
variant 1) 15+increase+(2) = 17+(2) = 19 (effectively)
or
variant 2) (15+2)+increase = 17+increase = 18
(Personally I'd think the increase goes on the base score and the upgrade is always "on top", variant 1.)
Upgrades do not count when increasing your stats. A 16 Str with a MK I upgrade (18 total) will increase to 20.
Thanks, can you point me to a source? I'm mostly curious where I overlooked that.
