Borax Bulan

As Borax finds himself, once again, next to a hostile creature, he withdraws to a safe distance,
Borax shares his knowledge with the group.
Can we assume the creature has a reach of 10'?
Borax Bulan
|
Huge Tall (15' reach) or Huge Long(10' reach)?
I didn't realize that was a 30' cliff it was on top of. What is that skeleton-thingy? Another creature Borax can thump with his enlarged forehead?
Bulgo Bluefoot

Sorry all, off at camp. Bakc now
reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 <-And even have Evasion. <sigh>
"Yow" cries out Bulgo, who had not been paying attention. He calls on his mythic abilities to once again absorb the bulk of the blow.
He then withdraws, running along the base of the cliff to where it appears that there is an easier way up.
I have no idea if that counts as difficult terrain or not, I've moved Bulgo the full 60' but feel free to move him back if the rockside slows him down.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Lets hope that is all the bad rolls for a while.

The monster again knocks a pillar off the top of the ridge!
"Trespassers! Leave my domain! This valley is mine! And you keep trespassing!" The Behir hisses.

Rallas follows Bulgo up the side of the hill, going to engage the creature.
also, would my evasion help with the last reflex save to bring the dmg to 0?
| GM V |
Yes didn't realize you had it. Also the map is kinda confusing. That is a sheer cliff that keeps going off the map. Its 30 ft up. The only way up there is to try to climb. Also you do see a distinct set of human tracks leading away from the canyon.
Rallas Linnderil
|
Aah...didn't know the climbinb part...can I redact my action for another then? If so i will post it now...
Realizing that there is no eay way to get in close to the behir, Rallas waves his comrades towards the direction the footprints lead.
Let's leave this beast...it might be a bit more than we can handle since it has the high ground already.
Kaylee Sharpston
|
"Let's just see if we can make it come down here, shall we?"
Kaylee steps back a few steps, then sends her most seductive grin up at the strange creature, knowing her feminine wiles transcend simple things such as race, gender, and even species.
Casting my go-to, unnatural lust, once more, this time spending a mythic charge to boost it as well. It must make TWO DC 20 Will saves (it gets a +4 to its save for not normally being attracted to her), if it fails EITHER it must try to come to Kaylee and kiss/caress her on its turn.

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Edit: I got ninja'ed!
I liked Rallas' plan better, the beast is just protecting its territory
Kintampo waits to see what the beast does, moving between it and Kaylee to protect here while he enhances the magical end of his staff Flaming and Frost
Ready attack if it steps to within 5 feet of where Kintampo can hit it (I will take 5ft step)
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Damage. Fire, Cold: 1d6 + 12 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 12 + (1) + (2) = 18
Attack of Opportunity if it leaves a threatened square
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Damage. Fire, Cold: 1d6 + 12 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 12 + (5) + (3) = 26
Borax Bulan

"Or perhaps we should try and reason with it?"
Borax delays, waiting to see if the creature shows any signs of civility.
| GM V |
Will: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 4 = 17
Will: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 4 = 25
Bulgo begins to climb, Rallas suggests a retreat, Kaylee casts a spell, Kin readies, and Borax waits.

I'm assuming I sense that it wants to come down and kiss and caress Kaylee. ;)

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
"I do say, does anyone believe this creature is doing anything more than defending its territory?"
Borax makes a dash towards Rallas. Double move
Borax calls out to the creature, "I assure you that we have never been here before."
Kaylee Sharpston
|
"But... But it's coming down here! You guys, come back!" Kaylee doesn't understand why the others would give up the fight when she has convinced the creature to come down the cliff, but if the others think we should all leave, she will concede.

The Behir climbs straight down the cliff towards Kaylee,
Touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 and licks her! Then the party quickly leaves the area while its confused!
After hours more hiking the sun begins to set and you start to make camp.
Give me perception checks, what kind of wach will you set and does anyone want to try to ritual on the tablet?
Borax Bulan
|
Is the party sleeping for the night? If so, won't we automatically replace our Mythic points?
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
| GM V |
I'm going to have to say no. Since these are only temporary mythic powers that you were granted from the ruby sage. I can find anything on the message boards about this scenario that says otherwise and when i played it that was how the gm i had explained it. And she's a 5 star gm. So anyone for the ritual? Also Bulgo and Borax see in the distance another campfire, probably the people your after. And you think you can catch them if you dont stop to rest.
Kaylee Sharpston
|
Yeah I really don't think we need to rest. We're not badly hurt or anything, and Kaylee has healing spells available for those with damage.
Bulgo Bluefoot
|
"Look! Over there" says Bulgo as he points out the fire.
"If we press onward we can catch up. No way he can hide that fire, even if he hides tracks."
Almost as if he wants to be found...
Borax Bulan
|
If anyone does attempt the ritual, Borax will stand back at least 30' with weapon drawn.
Under "Mythic Power(SU)" on the first page, it says "Each day, you have nine uses of Mythic Power."
Kaylee Sharpston
|
Kaylee will attempt to perform the ritual. Any checks required?
I don't want to start waves here, but I really don't think we need to rest yet, and I'd like to see things move on, personally. I hope no one is upset about it!
Bulgo Bluefoot
|
"Let us press onwards." agrees Bulgo. He keeps his eyes peeled for traps and ambushes though.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
So if there is no regen of mythic power, Bulgo had may as well do the ritual now, otherwise he'll save it for later.
Kaylee Sharpston
|
LOL... and now we see why GM was trying to get us to perform the ritual. :)
Rallas Linnderil
|
Rallas sneaks forward stealthily, trying to get a closer look without being spotted.
stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Kintampo
|
Kaylee: yep....
I also agree on the resting and on the regaining mythic points after a nights rest.
Kintampo does not use the clay tablet at this time, thinking that there will be plenty of time for that later. He follows Rallas at a distance so not to disrupt the cover of the elf but so that he is near when somebody would spot the scout.
In other words: I do not want to be the one that is spotted by the others or do something that exposes Rallas
