Hey all, soon to be New DM looking to get my feet with Starfinder. I was preparing encounters this morning and was a little confused going through the stat blocks.
Looking at the Space Pirate Crew Member in First Contact it shows me that their EAC and KAC is 11 and 13 respectively, but also shows me they have a Dex Modifier of +4 while also showing me they have a second skin armor on, which I believe means these AC's should be higher. Should I just chalk this up to First Contact not exactly being official, or is there something I'm misunderstanding about monster creation? Would appreciate a quick answer! ^^

It's not that they're immune to math; it's just that their math is ... different. [Most NPC stats aren't based on equipment and ability score mods, assuming it's like the Unchained simple monster rules in Pathfinder.]
