[PaizoCon Oz 2017] Event schedule discussion

Paizo Events

Sovereign Court

Yes, we're gaming in the Green Dragon Inn, Hobbiton! There are also plenty of other attractions, too many to mention here, but progressively added to

PaizoCon Oz Warhorn site

This thread is for all attendees to discuss what's on offer. If you're not attending, please don't clutter this thread with irrelevant comments. Useful, actionable advice welcome from any source.

Will have GMd PFS - The Soltice Scar, Assault on Absalom and SFS Claim to Salvation by then and happy to help out in any way with these. Happy to GM pretty much anything else.

Sovereign Court

GM resources available at the table
Basic Flip-mat
Dry-erase pens (black, blue, green, red)

GM resources available at registration desk
Pathfinder Pawns (Bestiary 1, NPC Codex)

Every attendee will have their own 20-piece Taniwha set of dice :-)

Sovereign Court

We only have enough time for 2 evening specials and they are The Solstice Scar and Assault on Absalom, Friday and Saturday night respectively.

I see that 01-00: Claim to Salvation has no table minimum so I'll schedule it for Sunday afternoon and see what happens for table demand.

Shadow Lodge

So assuming everything goes well Friday I will be good to run 6 sessions pfs or acg just let me know. Also we will have starfinder by then so that should be fine as well. I would prefer not to have to prep more than 3 different scenarios (multipules of the same scenario is fine.)

Shadow Lodge

Also if anyone is interested I could run a one off Call of Cthulhu.

PFS sanctioned adventures only, the only exception is Jason's Legendary Games sessions

Sovereign Court

The event schedule is currently a shop window where you can see what is offer. In due course you'll be invited inside to shop ("cleared"). You can have a street discussion here in this blog. The street discussion may alter what's in the shop window.

Sovereign Court

Tier 1 GMs (6 slots) are cleared for sign-up

Shadow Lodge

Was thinking that if there is interest we should try to do the PACG-Open that was a blast at PaizoCon(Seattle). Will need at least 12 players(preferably 16) and 2 GMs.

Tell me more. How long do you need?

Shadow Lodge

Each round is a 2 hr timed slot with each team consisting of 4 players. Typically you have as many qualifying rounds as you need to have each team play (2 teams of 4 per round is preferred due to each table needing a judge) the 2 highest scoring teams go to the final round and the highest scoring team of that round is the winner. (Scoring is a secret so I can email you as much info as I have. If you need more I am sure Tanya has all the juicy details.)

Lantern Lodge

I'm really looking forward to this.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Fantastic news! Tonya Woldridge, Organized Play Coordinator at Paizo, is attending PaizoCon Oz in October!

She is running retired scenarios not normally available for play (PFS 0-19: Skeleton Moon & PFS 0-25: Hands of the Muted God). She is also running a table at the Starfinder Special SFS 01-00: Claim to Salvation on Sunday afternoon.

oooo... I'd be up for one of those not-normally-available, who do I have to bribe?

You have to be a 3-star GM before I even acknowledge your existence :-)

Once I confirm the session times, all registrants can indicate their preferences in the lottery.

Sounds interesting, let's see how numbers go.

Yup assuming there is interest is all kinds of fun both for the GM and the players.

Cool.
Now who do I bribe to GM at the Inn? :)

No corruption here. Just be in the Warhorn event schedule at 12:00 NZST, July 29, 2017, when I clear everyone for sign-up.

Sovereign Court

According to the
PaizoCon Oz Facebook event page
, there are 96 people interested in attending PaizoCon Oz.

In our last month of Standard Registration, taniwha is still searching for players and GMs, guess where he is and win a 10-piece dice set (worth NZ$15), your choice of colour!

BUT you must pick up the dice in person at PaizoCon Oz

AND you may only win one set of dice

Post your guess to the Facebook event page above.

Where is he?

Silver Crusade

I could GM one of the Attack on Absalom tables if required .... preferably low level.

Liberty's Edge

I would like to Ru any of the Starfinder Events On the Sunday 7pm slot ^^.

GM or waitlist yourself during general sign-up

Great that you help out at the end, when GMs are getting tired. I have scheduled three Starfinder tables Sunday night, so it is likely at least one will be available upon general sign-up

Sovereign Court

Lottery event preferences now live, all registrants should have received an email

Lottery events

There are limited seat events at PaizoCon Oz. These include author-run scenarios and Special Guest GMs. The fairest way to assign you to these events is by lottery.

Lottery events are assigned on Saturday, August 5. All current registrants are listed in random order. The first registrant on the list is assigned his or her 1st preference. If this 1st preference event is full, the 2nd preference event is used and so on. If lottery events are not full after the list is exhausted, the list is randomly sorted again, and the process repeats until all lottery events have 6 players.

By default you are not entered in the lottery.

You may give or swap your lottery place with someone else at any time by posting to this Paizo blog. You may abdicate your lottery place at any time by withdrawing from the Warhorn table.

Some lottery event information is not known at this time. Please indicate your preferences anyway.

By default you are not entered in the lottery.

So how do you gain entry?

Also did not receive an email.

Sovereign Court

Email has the link to enter the lottery.

Sorry Chris, forgot to mention Tier 1 & 2 GMs don't get an email as you can already sign up to at least one lottery event in your remaining 2 player slots

Liberty's Edge

No email here either

Liberty's Edge

Also Happy to Run 'Captives of Toil' on Saturday Morning

Hi Liam

Thanks for that, scheduled you for Captives. I did send you an email. Please check your spam folder.

I am re-checking the mailing list and re-sending the lottery invite.

Liberty's Edge

Got the second one, Gmail had filed it as 'Promotions' ^^.

Cheers, see you soon!

Sovereign Court

Lottery events scheduling delayed until August 8, while we sort out something awesome

Hey all,

I'm looking to give away my lottery-drawn event on Friday the 13th of October with Matt Goodall in the morning session (PFS 2-20 Wrath of the Accursed) as I am wanting to play Bonekeep. Anyone interested, please let me know!

Sovereign Court

General sign-up begins, post here for any lottery event changes

Sovereign Court

If you are looking to give away your lottery-drawn events (as opposed to a swap), you can

1. EITHER withdraw from the table at any time, making your place available to whomever gets to it first

2. OR ask someone wanting to take your place to become the first Waitlisted place, then withdraw. This is the only exception to waitlisting for lottery events, because it doesn't persist.

If you want to swap, both parties must either post here with their real names - the second poster quoting the first - or use the general sign-up email button on the bottom right-hand side to email me directly. It may take 48 hours for the swap to occur.

Silver Crusade

I'm withdrawing from mine - Rise of the Goblin Guild under Matt - already played the scenario - so .. who ever wants it ... go for it.

Thanks, I withdrew from the lottery event I got, and I get this instead. Great :-)

Sovereign Court

The Green Dragon Inn tables for the 9-00 Special are now fixed. NO WAIT LIST.

Player seats at each tier show what places remain. Tiers 5-6, 7-8 are already full.
