what's more imporant, that its a ball or lightning? heroclix has some really good lightning-like figures that are humanoid shaped, while pathfinder battles has the willowisp which looks like a flying ball of semi-translucentness, but its more smoke than lightning. I think the Paizo.com exclusive willowisp is red instead of black/purple, so might fit a little better.
D&D miniatures had a Living Flaming Sphere miniature (Link). You could attempt a repaint to blue/bluish if you'd like.

What I needed for is when an Aurak Draconian dies. I do not think a figure would work, at least not a humanoid figure.
Ahh... I could see one of the several burning skeletons working if you add wings to it using one of the upcoming reaper wing packs or from another mini The descriptions on line say they immolate themselves, but not that they change shape when doing so (the references I looked at could just be incorrect)
