I like to play tabletop miniature games, specifically Warmachine and Warhammer (not so much 40k), but I also like to just paint the miniatures and every so often I get the urge to paint a miniature for a character concept I've come up with.
In this case, I've been working on a character sheet for an Air Sorcerer from a tropical island. I don't have a game for this character, but there is a short story attached. Problem is, I can't find a model to portray him and I really want to give him a look beyond paper. I'm thinking some kind of tribal shaman or warchief from a jungle. Humanish.
I know there are people here who are more knowledgeable about the minis market than I am. Could any of you give me a hand?

I suppose CoolMiniOrNot might be a decent place to start, it depends on you location too (since shipping to the UK/EU/Aus can be a trifle expensive). There are some great companies out there.
So you want, Male, Jungle-clothing/leather/semi-naked, wielding dagger/sword/staff/air ball?
More of an elf, but easy enough to convert/paint/ignore, from a cool UK site.

Matt don't know if this will help but I have taken to using sites like wayland games and others for ideas. Usually going through the miniature wargames companies helps even if its just giving a name. Try savage core from warlord games, reaper mini, otherworld, hasslefree and I will second DSX on coolminiornot since you can get a list of companies.
