Grand Lodge

So as I've mentioned a few times previously, this will be my first ever Con -- and first vacation at all in the past few years -- and I want to try to maximize it.

I got my airline tickets, Hotel reservations & PaizoCon tickets (& Banquet ticket) back in November.

Now I'm thinking it's time (maybe past time) to sign up for events or PFS gaming slots and what have you.

Point me in the right direction, please.

Do we sign up for PFS tables now? Do we wait?

Is there an Events list or schedule of some kind?

Thanks!

Dark Archive

It should be making an appearance soon.

Grand Lodge

There will be an event list, but it looks like it hasn't opened yet.

As somebody who liked to schedule their PFS appearances over a month ahead of time I am starting to become quite anxious.

Liberty's Edge

I'm sorta hoping to hear whether or not what tier of volunteer GM I'm going to be before the lottery opens. Has anybody else heard yet?

Not me

Grand Lodge

I am starting to get nervous. I have no idea if I am GMing at PaizoCon, despite putting in for a few tables. Does anyone have any idea when we'll hear?

Hmm

Me too :(

Hmm -- do you mean PFS, or do you mean lottery events?

I didn't put in any lottery events, but I did apply to be a PFS GM. I'd like to find out if I'm going to GM something, and what....

I'll be very sad if the lottery happens before we know our PFS GM schedule.

The schedule they're working to setup includes PFS events and timetables. Every event, even PFS ones, show up in the Lottery System. It's just unheard of for any to fill up via lottery, as you have multiple tables of the same scenario multiple times throughout the weekend.

The reason you haven't gotten info on PFS GM assignments is likely because that schedule is still being data entered as well. They then need to check for any significant scheduling conflicts (i.e. let's say Tonya needs to run or observe X table for Y person; they have to make sure that table isn't while she is supposed to be at Z panel). There is a lot of data entry to do on top of normal duties. PaizoCon does not have dedicated staff, so much as existing staff take on assorted duties to organize it as part of their regular role.

The Schedule will go up and you will have a good week to mark lottery selections before the lottery actually occurs. I imagine in that period you'll get your GM Marching Orders and can make informed decisions.

tl;dr Patience and faith, please. They've done this for a good while now, and though there are bumps, they have your best interests in mind and are working hard to get it done.

Last year they had the events posted 1 month before the con. So I would imagine that we'll see the schedule by the end of next week.

We are a bit behind schedule but working full tilt on it and have no expectations of issues at this time.
