Against the Consortium Boon and GM Baby

I am fleshing out a GM baby and applying the Against the Consortium boon I earned at a convention.

I ran Scion of the Sky Key, Part 3. Can I put the Aspis Agent name from that scenario on the boon? Or asked a different way, as a GM can I get take credit for defeating a named Aspis agent?

Since your character did not actually participate in the battle, I would say no, unless the chronicle has a boon on it related to defeating that agent.

Well there is a link on the Chronicle to an Apis agent who decided to leave the Aspis Consortium. But not really tied to defeating a named Aspis agent.

Are you familiar with the boon for that scenario Steven?

Yes indeed, although I should probably go refresh my memory.

The boon, if I'm guessing what you're referring to correctly:

from Scions of the Sky Key Part 3:
Vanei’s Friend: You have befriended Vanei Thaskin, who now works as an informant for the Pathfinder Society. Once per scenario, you can recall information Vanei provided in order to reroll a failed Bluff, Diplomacy, or Knowledge check pertaining to the Aspis Consortium. If the second check fails, cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet; your reckless use of Vanei’s information has compromised her cover and led to her capture.

Given that... (more spoilers from the scenario):
Vanei begins the scenario petrified, and swears off the Consortium if you un-petrify her, it's not even a slam-dunk for a player to have gotten "defeated an Aspis agent" credit--at least from me. I know we're supposed to be somewhat generous in our interpretations, but I think the basilisk gets the credit here.

So I agree with TOZ's first thought, that it's not really sufficient grounds to give yourself credit for defeating her.

Terminalmancer,

I am not looking at <REDACTED> as the named Aspis Agent but <REDACTED>. However one could argue that the first agent is defeated by the party if they don't do something specific. But that is a stretch.

Regardless, my first thought was no, can't really do this.

Thank you both for offering advise.
