Starfinder and the Cyoher system

General Discussion

I figure I'm a bit behind just now reading the Numenera core book but the details of the Cypher System remind me of how the Starfinder playtest went. From what I remember they used stamina, hit points, and resolve. For those familiar with the Cypher System and who also saw the gameplay, did they seem to work the same? As to say, could Starfinder be running on a Cypher variant?

Given that Paizo is selling it's own game system and not someone elses, and that there is supposed to be a high degree of compatibility with Pathfinder, I'd say probably not.

And that makes perfect sense. They just seem to have similar philosophies I guess.

Just realized the typo in the subject. Sigh.

The stamina/ hit points is largely influenced by vitally and wounds from d20 Star Wars and other things around that period. Resolve is basically (or sounds like) 4e healing surges, but for stamina only.

T20(Traveller) had Stamina and Lifeblood, is that Cypher?
