Thinking of all of the high tech that has already bled through in Pathfinder, i am very curious if there is a singular aesthetic for Starfinder "main tech" or if it is a mish mash of design and technology since they could draw on a bunh of different alien and home grown methods of achieving the same result.
On the one hand you'd think you would want a common theme where lasers all have lens on them and all vibro blades look shimmery when on and slightly serrated when off (as an example)
But since they could have Golarion developed lasers, Androffan pattern lasers, Apostae pattern lasers, Akitonian rust-punk lasers, verces pattern, triaxus pattern, Castrovellian psi-lasers, Dominon "bio-beam" lasers... necro-tech pistols... even if they all basically have the same stats i would think they would have drastically different looks. But that could also result in a lack of cohesion as far as what Starfinder looks like?
If nothing else, i bet you guys get to have some fun discussions about this stuff at the office.
