Related Freelings?

Is the deceased Mrs. Freeling from the dayroom in the asylum in book 1 supposed to be related to Skywin Freeling, the ship captain in book 3? There's no mention of the former being a halfling, but it does seem like a strange coincidence.

They are not related. It was just happenstance that two different authors would use the same name.

I debated keeping the name for Skywin once I got to that adventure since Freeling was already presented in the AP, but I felt that the story about her family making the new surname was compelling and so I kept it. I also thought it might bring up some interesting roleplaying chances if players were especially good at remembering names of NPCs. :)
