I'm working on a homebrew class I made a while back and tweaking some things. I need advice on how the mechanics should work on the 13th level class feature "Web of Connections". I want to make it so you get bonuses to finding people, makes it easier to find items, or ask for favors. Basically, things covered by diplomacy. How do I go about this without just being a flat bonus? I vaguely recall an ability like this from another class, but don't remember where.
Gather info is a thing covered by Diplomacy that takes 1d4 hours. Your class feature could reduce the amount of time this takes to 1 hour.
