Hi, I'm asking for any insight, opinions, suggestions, or otherwise on a class I'm currently trying to create (as well as rules for class creation in general, as I'm fairly new to it). The class would be called Epistolist, and it's basically a class devoted to magical writing- runes, wards, spells with somatic but no verbal components. I have basically nothing so far, except that I want them to be based around using an artifact called a stylus, similar in appearance to a magic rod but used to make magical writing, and that I want them to have both arcane and divine abilities and flavor. Thanks in advance for any input!
The first thing that comes to mind is the occultist Occult class. It's based on implements. You might glean some good stuff there about power level and mechanics.
