(Feat) Hive Shape

Homebrew and House Rules

HIVE SHAPE
In your path to embody and revere the midnight lord, you have come to assume the form of creatures that echo his transformation.
Prerequisite: Druid level 8th, and The Uskbond domain or Shade of the Uskwood feat.
Benefit: Whenever you use wildshape you can expend two uses to assume the form of a hive warrior or hive worker. This use of wild shape functions as beast shape III, except you gain the aberration type and the hive subptype while in this form, gaining the abilities that come with the subtype.
Additionally, whenever you cast Swarm Skin, you are capable of creating hive larva swarms. Hive larva swarms count as 10 caster levels for this purpose. Hive larva swarms created by this method do not gain the infest ability.
Special: If you lose the benefits of the Uskbond domain or Shade of the Uskwood, depending upon which you used to qualify for this feat, you also lose the benefits of this feat as well.

HIVE SHAPE
In your path to embody and revere the midnight lord, you have come to assume the form of creatures that echo his transformation.
Prerequisite: Wildshape as beast shape III, and either the Uskbond domain or the Shade of the Uskwood feat.
Benefit: Whenever you use wildshape you can expend two uses to assume the form of a hive warrior or hive worker. This use of wild shape functions as beast shape III to assume the form of a medium magical beast, except you gain the aberration type and the hive subptype while in this form, gaining the abilities that come with the subtype. While in this form your gear melds into your body, even though the form is that of an aberration.
Special: If you lose the benefits of the Uskbond domain or Shade of the Uskwood, depending upon which you used to qualify for this feat, you also lose the benefits of this feat as well.

Version 2 (because editing the original post was impossible at this point)
Rather than restricting by Druid level directly, the feat now restricts by the ability it draws from. This means certain archetypes may delay or negate the possibility for taking on the feat, but also opens the theoretical potential of entering from other things.

Added clarifying text, as by default your gear wouldn't meld into your body as the form is of an aberration. Also decided it would utilize Beast shape III's ability to assume the form of a medium magical beast, making clear which to utilize.

Unless I am mistaken (it is quite early here) the form would grant the following at this iteration; +4 Strength, +4 Natural Armor, Climb Speed 20ft., Speed 30ft., Blindsense 30ft, a Bite attack (1d6 + str), 2 claws (1d4 + str), a tail slap (1d6 + 1/2 str).
Additionally, since the (Hive) subtype is granted; Immunity Acid, Blind, Blindsense 60ft (possibly superseding blindsense 30ft), Blindsight 10ft, Corrosive Blood [1d6 acid damage], Death Throes, Heat adaptability, Hive mind, and you no longer need to eat/drink/sleep.

Swarm skin text removed. It might be worth a separate feat, or a house rule option.

HIVE WILDSHAPE
In your path to embody and revere the midnight lord, you have come to assume the form of creatures that echo his transformation.
Prerequisite: Wildshape class feature; and either the Uskbond domain or the Shade of the Uskwood feat.
Benefit: When you use wild shape to take the form of an animal, you can expend an additional daily use of your wild shape class feature to add the hive template to your animal form.
Special: If you lose the benefits of the Uskbond domain or Shade of the Uskwood, depending upon which you used to qualify for this feat, you also lose the benefits of this feat as well.

Version 3
Because I had completely forgotten about the easy and obvious answer; the Hive Creature template.

That will be all.
