My party intentionally broke up the imp and mephit. We got the imp to confess that it doesn't really feel love for her, and was treating it as a marriage of convenience, because she's a nicer master than the one we were supposed to return him to. After breaking the mephit's heart and taking her husband away, my Sczarni thug followed it up with "This is a nice magic shop you got here. Would be a shame if anything were to happen to it..."

Not exactly our most heroic day as Pathfinders.

The party murderhoboed assault hoboed the imp and mephit couple. And then when asked to get naga tears, told the tale of woe and tragedy of the imp and mephit...

Man, going right to poisoning the food when Sleight of Hand is the party's worst skill is a terrible way to botch the last task.

It was even worse because some of the players were replaying to fill out the table and *knew* what needed to be done but a combination of not wanting to meta the scenario plus the advancing hour caused some.... exceptionally poor judgement calls...
