Short AP?

Second Darkness

Liberty's Edge

I'm running, and really enjoying this AP. My group is about at the end of book 2 and everyone is really invested and kicking butt. But I've noticed something that is making me wonder. Is this AP a bit shorter than others?

What I mean by that question is that to this point I have run Shattered Star, Jade Regent, Wrath of the Righteous and Kingmaker and those seemed to be a lot denser in terms of the amount of encounters. Am I imagining things or are there less encounters and more background, story in this AP that the later ones? If this is the case, is it similarly the case in other early APs?

Second Darkness was written for 3.5, which uses a "faster" XP system than Pathfinder does (it's even faster than PF's own fast XP track).

Also: both the Second Darkness and the Legacy of Fire APs were the ones where Paizo experimented with a shorter amount of AP material (balanced by the short "extra adventure" in the back). There was the assumption that the GM would use the extra adventure and/or provide his/her own extra material.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for that. I am actually loving the pace of this. The idea of banging this out in less than a year is great as I should have a couple of months of downtime before Starfinder comes out.
