In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, I penned this seasonal shanty with misadventures aboard the dreaded Wormwood fresh in mind.
‘Tis the most wond—Arrr!--ful time o’ the year
With the ship’s bell a-ringin’
An’ pirate folk singin’ “Bloody Hour be here!”
‘Tis most wond—Arrr!—ful time o’ the year!
‘Tis the yar-hariest evenin’ o’ all!
At the Formidably Maid
You might even get laid before the last call!
‘Tis the y--…Oh…#%$@! *THUNK!*

‘Tis the most craptastic mornin’ o’ all!
Climb yer arse up the riggin’
With Plugg an’ Scourge gigglin’ each time that ya fall!

Thar’ll be sluggards fer whippin’
Rum rations fer sippin’
Hog-lobbin’ each night on the deck
Thar’ll be pirate ghost stories
An’ tales that be gory
O’ pirates hung dead by the neck!

Thar’ll be much Yo-Ho-Ho!-ing
Foul tradewinds a-blowin’ out Fatty Fipps’s rear
