After storm damage knocked a sizeable hole in the side of Harrigan's room, my players chased him out onto the ramparts below and ultimately trapped him inside of an icy prison spell. They then proceeded to ignore his plight as they fought off his remaining minions (four harpies and five smugglers). They then came back and taunted him by drawing pictures of raspberry faces, genitalia, and the like on the fogged ice as he slowly froze to death in front of them (including a rousing game of hang man--the word was "goodbye").

I strongly suspect it has since become their favorite save or die spell.

Still not there. I hope they decide to do something fu, but knowing them it'll be gruesome enough.
My worries is that the fortress, and Harrigan himself, is a cakewalk..

We fought more minions and sub bosses, but then we have a large party.

A high level druid was with them, as was a summoned eyrine, and a number of trolls and a good dragon under an artifact level domination spell. For minions, mid level rogues and fighters for guards.

The druid fled after loosing most of his hit points. He was the only significant survivor. We also freed the dragon, but he had a crisis of faith and departed for parts unknown. For Harrigan, plot wise, the GM added complications that did not let us kill him directly. We had to capture him, and use a ritual to return the necromancer's stolen prestige class' power back to the necromancer. That worked, but before we could do much, the daemon who ran the ritual took the party elsewhere. Still dealing with that.
