Listening to the Know Direction recording of the Gencon Starfinder panel it strikes me that Paizo is going through a lot of effort to present the Starfinder 'core rules' in a more streamlined and beginner friendly fashion than the Pathfinder CRB.
Combine that with how compatible the two games will apparently be might it not end up being that the easiest way to get new gamers into Pathfinder might be to get them into Starfinder and then go. Oh and by the way you're 90% of the way to understanding how to play this fantasy thing too!

I'm thinking if one want to teach Pathfinder, the better path will still be the PF Beginner Box.
Though, it could be cool if they come out with a Starfinder Beginner Box as well.
Please NO Starfinder Starter Box (I hate those starter boxes which are all the rage these days, they present canned premade characters and an adventure with very little replayability beyond that. I want a minimum of character creation and other things).

Maybe there won't need to be a Starfinder Beginner Box if the first Starfinder release has rules layed out in such a way that simpler actions are introduced first and more complicated options are introduced later and people can just use the simpler options if they want to.
Paizo seems adamant that they want only one line for Starfinder.
