What are the requirements to run the pregen specials (Serpents Ire and Through the Malestrom Rift)?
I checked the guide and the product descriptions, and scanned the GenCon blog posts, but was unable to find anything.
I ask because I would like to run them for my friends that were not able to make it to GenCon.

Maelstrom's Rift has to be four stars and to be run at a convention with at least 26 tables. So you can run it at a local con for your friends if the con has enough tables of PFS (both RPG and ACG) going.
Hmm
Soooooo for us here in Finland that means in approximately one year, if we can get enough tables together for Ropecon 2017 (the biggest con of the year - Tracon is bigger by visitor count, but has a very small RPG participation). Good to know that no one here has to plan for it until then.

Eh, now that I look over it, we scheduled 36 tables (not sure if all of those fired) for Ropecon this year, inclusive of the 7 tables of Sky Key Solution - which took place a literal week before GenCon, by the way. We always miss out on the juicy new stuff because our big annual event is right before GenCon, so it actually feels really familiar to lose out on this special until next GenCon as well.

Phoenix has the same problem, Rei. Phoenix Comicon is our big convention and happens about the same time as PaizoCon now. We had RinCon, but turnout isn't enough to justify the travel for our Phoenix player base. I'm currently planning a 3 day retail convention in November to hopefully get the specials to my players.

I would have your local VC or coordinator talk to the region RVC. I'm not promising anything on behalf of the RVC, but it never hurts to ask; worse they can do is say no, best case exceptions can be made due to area. But you won't know until you ask

We previously had Tracon as well, but after failing twice to reach 15 tables we decided to downsize for this year. In its founding years, the split focus of anime/manga and RPGs served Tracon pretty well, but it's been ten years and there's definitely a divide now between the RPG people and the anime people. Anime fans are willing to travel and sleep on couches, book their tickets in advance (we sell out several months before the event now), tend to be very young, and don't want to spend more than an hour or two on a program. RPG fans aren't willing to travel far (Ropecon used to get complaints that it was "out in the boonies" when it was in Dipoli less than 10 km outside central Helsinki, and there are still some complaints now that it moved into Helsinki that you can't get there via subway), want to buy tickets at the door (Ropecon started selling advance tickets online this year, in its 23rd year of organization), tend to not get along with teenagers, and as we all know, the average PFS scenario takes 4-5 hours.

The only event we're even going to have until Ropecon next year will be Tracon Hitpoint (the aforementioned Tracon's baby sister) sometime next spring - the date hasn't been set yet. Hitpoint was founded last year, takes place in a public school building, and only had about a thousand attendees. I severely doubt RVC will be willing to give the special to such a small event. There's also Maracon up north in Oulu and the local VL is insane (hi Agape!) and will absolutely try to somehow pull together an event with enough tables, but again, slim chances of that happening.
And I, uh, don't even know who our RVC is. Or if they know we exist.

Our store event in November will likely only have maybe 30-40 people.
And it appears the Asia-Pacific RVC is Stephen White.

Hm. I wonder which Paizo would prefer, a store event with a handful of people that presumably stocks Paizo products, or a small nonprofit convention that will have a small selection of merchants, some of which might carry Paizo stock.
Also
Asia-Pacific
uh, Finland is in Northern Europe, but thanks?
I checked the Regional Coordinators page, and it seems the technicality I posted about when the RVCs were first introduced hasn't yet been corrected. So I guess we Finns are going to have to swallow our pride and say we belong to Scandinavia. (We don't. Geographically or linguistically. Denmark does, though. They get their own mention in that section, for some reason.)

My bad, I misread Oulu as something else. American geography for the loss! :D

I like to think that they prefer both. ;)

You could always visit Minnesota in February and play every pregen special released so far. And just think, the weather will be just like home! You won't get home sick at all!

If I ever go back to visit Upper Michigan like I plan to (lived there for a year in high school) I will definitely drop by Minnesota! February is a bit unlikely, though. I might be hitting the US sometime late next spring or early next summer (end of May-start of June is looking pretty likely), but I'm probably going to be forced to stick to the East Coast or Chicago at the west-est. Sadface.

There is a lot more in Minnesota for folks from the Scandinavia/Finnish area than Chicago.
And if you can get to the UP, do IT.
Some of the most memorable recollections I have are from the family trips we took up there in the mid-80's.
