Stacking the Deck - Using the Harrow In Your Game

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Since even before the Harrow handbook came out harrow deck has been a sources of interest for me. This week I takea look at ways to incorporate the harrow into your games as a GM or into your characters as a player. So let's have some fun with the harrow deck.

Have you as a GM ever included the harrow in your game? As more than just a one of reading? Used it thematically as a game mechanic? Have you as a player ever made a harrower? Legitimate or a charlatan?

I have used it to do reading for the players, foreshadowing the events in the adventure. Good times.

Do you stack the deck to get the reading you want? Or do you give a legit random read?

Liberty's Edge

A legit random read, with the advantage I already knew (more or less) what was going to happen, and that I can "alter" the situations in the future to make them "match" the reading.

Hmmm that's pretty nifty. Good job on that.
