One of the things I love most about Golarion is that there is a ton of stuff left unwritten. It allows me to expand on things in my games and invent new things to further enrich the game world. A part of the setting that always interests me are the divine being they have and how the interact with their followers and each other. On one of the Pathfinder FB pages I play a little game of creativity where as ask about what kind of character you would make to follow a god. This week I'm looking at Zohls, Empyreal Lord of determination, investigation and truth.
Sitting at our theoretical gaming table, our GM turns to us and says, "All of the characters must be followers of Zohls, although they do not need to be divine casters." What character do you make? Who is he? Why has he chosen Verity as her patron? In what ways does he further the Empyreal Lords goals? Why would he be attracted to this beings doctrine?

If the party needed a support caster, I might do a bard with kind of an intrepid investigative journalist theme. Investigators would be an obvious choice, also diviner wizards. Maybe a paranormal investigator type if you wanted to break out the occult rules. Anyone who's good or neutral and interested in the pursuit of knowledge, but in an "okay, what's REALLY going on here?" way rather than a "SCIENCE!" way.

I've made two characters who followed Zohls. She's pretty awesome. One of them is a samurai detective (think shinsin gumi), the other was Madame Vastra (who is now retired because I found Investigator boring to play)
An odd bonus for Zohls - she's the only deity with HEAVY crossbow as a favored weapon.
