New player looking to get started

Within the last two weeks, I have played 2 very basic games of pathfinder with a few people at the local gaming store. In that time I have managed to read up on the rules after purchasing the pdf, some dice, and had a go at creating basic characters from the core rulebook.

Do people still play pathfinder and if so, do they play online. My local play is very limited in people and time constraints so any help in getting setting up on playing online would be appreciated.

Hey, this is the pathfinder society group (organized play) if thats what you mean then yes.. a lot of people still play it. Its growing if anything.

Does your store play society or just pathfinder?

Im looking for any PFS games really. One local store has a society games scheduled and I plan to attend for the first time this Sunday.
