Gummy Bear Minis

So you can probably guess what we were snacking on when my players mentioned this idea. They insisted I post it here since I'm the only one in the group with an active account.

Anyways, their (not sure if serious) request for a product is gummy bear minis, inspired by killing orcs in Scrapwall while snacking. The idea is that if you kill the enemy you get to eat the mini.

So take this as you will. I don't expect it to become a real product as this is mostly a "yes I posted it to the forums for you" post. But stranger things have happened.

Gummi bear minis? No. But I wouldn't be surprised if something like Gummi Goblins didn't already exist.

You want to play like this?

Liberty's Edge

Knights of the Dinner Table had similar jokes about candy as miniatures. Probably more feasible would be molding your own miniatures, but a quick search didn't find appropriate trays.

We've used different candies for the same purpose at times over the years.

It would give new meaning to running the We Be Goblins series of modules: "We be goblins You be food!"

Especially at conventions, you probably want candies that can be individually wrapped to keep them sanitary and avoid spreading con crud.

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I ran No Response From Deepmar on Halloween last year and used various individually wrapped treats as minis. Mediums sized things were Starbursts, larges were York Peppermint Patties, and I used a pudding cup for the well... You can probably guess. It went over pretty well, I did notice that some people ended up making tactically unsound decisions to go after certain colors of Starbursts, which was oddly satisfying.

Ya, one of my worries when they brought up this idea was to do with me drawing on the map with markers and erasing. You'd inevitably get some of the crud from that on the candy.

Might have to steal this idea!
