Going through THE DIVINITY DRIVE again, and once again, those darn gargoyles stuck out like a sore thumb to me. They just don't really fit, and using flying creatures in the confined spaces of Divinity don't really take advantage of that ability.
I kinda like the cybernetic gargoyle aesthetic, and it might make sense to throw a few of them at the party in THE PALACE OF FALLEN STARS either as allies of the Technic League or as Unity's direct agents, but again, having them in the spaceship is a bit off putting.
Any thoughts about replacing them with a more alien / robot type menace for the party?

There's an in-world reason why Unity chose gargoyles—it's in the text somewhere. Basically, since gargoyles are living creatures BUT also have the earth subtype, this means that their molecules are closer aligned to metal and artificial stuff—they're custom built, as far as Unity sees, as perfect cybernetic workshops or areas to explore the merging of organic with mechanical. Since they're already inorganic enough to have the Earth subtype, after all.
Once Unity masters the art of melding gargoyle with cybernetics/robot parts/technology/etc. he can use that as a stepping stone to working on wholly organic creatures (aka things without the Earth subtype).

yeah, I mean it's a cool image. The art was great, and I loved the homage to Demona from the Gargoyles TV show.
Even w/o Unity, it's kinda fun to think about a covey of cybernetic gargoyles circling around Starfell from the peak of the Silver Mount.
