Switching Factions at Level 1

What happens if you switch Factions at Level 1? I know that you can completely rebuild your character.. what happens to the Fame and Prestige you earn?

On a related note... it is my understanding that Pregens get recorded as Grand Lodge... How does that work exactly when applied to a character who is say Liberty's Edge? How does this work at Level 1.. and how does this work at Level 7?

The fame/prestige all goes in the same 'pot', so a PC who plays as different factions at 1st level isn't penalised. If you play 3 scenarios at 1st level as Grand Lodge, Liberty's Edge and Dark Archive, it doesn't really matter; you end up with 6 fame in your faction of choice when starting at second level (assuming you earn 2 fame per scenario, of course).

The rules for changing factions (with associated costs) are aimed at established, higher-level PCs who've earned a significant amount of prestige with their first faction.

It's reported as Grand Lodge. This doesn't affect the faction of the character to whom you apply it, who gets the Fame and Prestige earned for the session.
