So much for the vaunted presence of increased law enforcement personnel at this event. There were plenty of cops on the ground and mingling in the crowds; the shooting still happened and suspect(s) escaped. Can the ammosexuals please, please stop regurgitating the tired never-true b%*&+#*$ about increased guns making everyone safer?

The rumor I've heard is that bouncer at the [REDACTED] Bar refused entry to a guy with his gun, and he didn't take it well... but right now it's just a fourth-hand rumor.
There was also a shooting at a different downtown bar on Tuesday night, no injuries and no suspects, but the police have released no info if the two are related.
The whole downtown River District where both shootings occurred is within walking distance of the Lee County Justice Center (courtrooms & jail). There is always a police presence.
