It seems I have had a similar problem to what others are experiencing. My Monster Codex Pawns Box is due to arrive with my next subscription shipment (and hopefully WILL still arrive).

Today I opened a small parcel to find not the shaving razors I was expecting, but the Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Card Game Deck: The Midnight Isles.

I neither ordered this item, nor is it part of any of my subscription plans. I can find no solid evidence that I was charged for this item, though I do not recall any previous pawn boxes ever costing me quite so much as $45.08, which makes me wonder if I was charged for both.

It's simply here. For some reason.

If I was charged for these cards, I would like my money for them to be refunded. If my pawns aren't on their way, I'd like them to be sent at the earliest possible opportunity. In addition, I'd appreciate an explanation for why this seems to be occurring to so many people.

On your order you were charged $33.99 for the pawns and the rest was the apportioned amount of shipping along with the apportioned amount of shipping discount since the order was over $100. you were not charged for the mis-shipped deck.

As for why this occurred...
I've investigated the matter with our Warehouse Manager, Will Chase, and we have a good handle on why it happened as well as the scope (relatively small). It feels like a bigger issue than it is because the CS forums experience a bit of confirmation bias. People almost exclusively post here to report problems so it feels like everyone is reporting an issue. There are no "My Order Was Totally Correct" threads to balance it out and give a sense of the relatively small percentage of orders which experienced this particular issue. (Which is a good thing since that would absolutely bury threads reporting issues and CS wouldn't be able to respond properly to people needing help).

I got my subscription package today, along with a receipt for the Pawn Box, but there are no pawns anywhere to be seen. I guess they aren't coming until September. :(

What do I do with the cards? What caused this little mix up in the first place? Computer error? Clerical error?

You were supposed to receive the pawns box instead of the card deck (i.e. the pawns were supposed to ship separately in a box). You can donate or give away the card deck if you have no use for it. As for the the why, that's a little deeper into the operations rabbit hole than I really want to traverse.
