I'm thinking of making a Prestige Class that will work similarly to the Dragon Disciple, but be to Kineticists what the Dragon Disciple is to Sorcerers.
I was originally thinking of doing, as the Dragon Disciple, it based on the idea of progeny... however, unlike the Dragon, there's already a system for Genie progeny (ARG, Ifrit, Sylph, Oreads, Undines). So the idea isn't progeny, or even genies, but turning into elemental entities that are natural to the Ethereal Plane (from whence the Kineticist powers come). Not limited in any way to Kineticist, just obvious that they are the intended target.
So far my only real ideas are that I want the player to slowly become Ethereal (so maybe some Windy Escape/DR tricks, brief stints to walk through walls, etc... with Ethereal Jaunt being an at-will ability at higher levels, possibly requiring burn). And of course, the ability to turn into the Elemental as per the spells Elemental Body I & II
Obviously I'd want to make sure that Kineticist kept upgrading the damage total of their Kinetic Blast, and possibly even pick up some more Talents along the way... And just like the Dragon Disciple, some attribute bonuses (perhaps fitting for the element they're attuned to?), but not Con, just as the DD don't get Cha.
Anyone have any ideas they'd want to throw in?

Anyhows, been thinking on this class, and here's what I've added since the idea first bloomed.
Ethereal Warrior
Prerequisite: +7 BAB, some sort of elemental attachment (domain, school, focus, elemental fist, Rage powers, etc...) or ethereal attachment (spiritualist, etc), knowledge (planar) 5 levels.
Full BAB, and good Saves to Reflexes and Fortitude.
Basically I'm thinking of allowing Ethereal at the cost of Burn
1st level) Starting with a swift action (enough to escape bonds),
2nd level) Then a Move Action (enough to walk through a door, or disappear and reappear elsewhere at the end of their turn as long as it's within half their base move range)
3rd level) A Standard Action (enough for a DR 10/Magic defense as an immediate action against an attack (Windy Escape).
4th level) A Full Action (move full move range, DR 10/Magic against all attacks that round)
5th level) A full round (Immune to all weapons/magic that round but unable to affect the material plane at all)
6th level) 1 round per Prestige Level (Ethereal jaunt)
7th level) 1 round per player level
8th level) 1 minute per level
9th level) 5 minutes per level
10th level) 1 hour per level
Additionally, there'd be the ability to do partial etherealness. Example would be to make your blade ethereal for a swift action just to penetrate armour or concealment. Uses like this would subtract 4 from the level, so for a blade to ignore armour for a single hit would be a 5th level talent, and shooting an attack that acts as an energy attack would require 7th level (keep the arrow ethereal long enough to penetrate the armour and materialize).
Obviously, the above would be a template to create "Wild Talents" from, and depending on power levels, would require "burn" as well (1 burn every 3 full levels required for power?). I think I would add to the number of burns a Kineticist would get that joined this (half prestige level?), and everyone else would just get their Con Modifier in Burn with no offset on costs.
