So I mentioned this AP to my group ...

Skull & Shackles

I haven't even read the books yet, but I'm intrigued by it. So I told my group (we're halfway through Kingmaker right now) that I'm thinking about running this as the next AP.

"It's Skull & Shackles. It's pirate campaign."

Their ears perked up.

"Also, I'll give a nice hat to whoever's the captain."

Their ears REALLY perked up.

Y'arr!!

And I'll have to find a hat. One of my players thoroughly enjoys playing amoral characters, and he's a complete ham.

Find a saint Vincent DePaul store, it's your best bet other then a Halloween store, we get all our pirate hats there :-)

We have enough hats and stuffed parrots for the whole party :-)

Sovereign Court

Dollar store has a fairly decent bicorne...

Scarab Sages

1 person marked this as a favorite.

One of my players found a set of two nesting chests (about 5" by 6" by 6", and around 7" by 8" by 8") at the dollar store, and filled them with plastic coins, Mardi Gras doubloons and glass "gems" from the same source. I cut off a dollar store rubber snake's tail to make tentacles for giant octopus/squid/sea monsters.

My kids made their own treasure chest:-) even left it out in the rain a couple times so it would look more authentic:-)
