I was thinking about the sipping jacket:

And am considering allowing potions with a duration of at least rounds to incrementally consumed instead of requiring the entire potion be drank in one gulp. A potion could easily be dosed in 1 unit (rounds, minutes, hours, etc.) aliquots, which would provide a mechanical advantage to potions compared to wands, scrolls, and even casting spells.
I don't see any game balance issues with this, but am interested in what others think.

The way the math of potions work, that's essentially the same as multiple potions with a lower caster level. For example, incrementally sipping a potion of disguise self that lasts 30 minutes (CL 3) is basically three potions with a CL 1. For 1st level potions, it's the same. This would mostly affect higher level potions since those have a minimum caster level higher than 1.
Overall, I think it's perfectly fine. This would basically make higher level potions more efficient, which is not a bad thing because I think they're overpriced anyway.
