So here's the deal. I like Pathfinder, but there are things I don't like about it.
My houserules documents change way too much stuff to truly call my campaign Pathfinder anymore, but it's based on Pathfinder, and IMO it's awesome.
We'll be playing somewhere in Graham, the specific location remains to be determined but likely within 5 miles of Graham Square [aka the Graham Safeway complex]
Battlefield of the mind style, no miniatures required.
As for your characters, please reply to this thread with a description of what sort of character you'd like to play. Not with existing game mechanics [I use those for inspiration but I go so far beyond those] but with themes and dreams.

Can you please post your house-rule documents so we have some idea of what its all about? Is this going to be something on the lines of Amber or something completely different...?
As for character, don't know, as I don't have enough information about the campaign setting.
Also to note, what is it about Pathfinder that you do not like?
Also another thought, what is the age group of everyone playing at the moment?

The house rules document is a work-in-progress at the moment, but it's coming along swimmingly. The fundamental focus of the houserules is making characters more awesome. [I hope to be prepared to link to the document in a few days.]
Campaign setting is Kitchen Sink Fantasy with potential for somewhat stronger unusual influences [Steampunk, Scifi, Lovecraft, Eastern, Middle Eastern etc etc etc] than normally expected in Pathfinder.
My dislike with Pathfinder is usually related to the disparity between martials and casters, the way Spontaneous Casters get screwed over by their Vancian brothers and the way feats tend to limit what non-casters can do rather than expand on them.
Lastly at present my two players thus far are aged 30 and 25.
