So my players have repelled the assault on Tidewater Rock at the end of Part 2 of "Raiders of the Fever Sea". However, this was not without some cost as they could not act fast enough to prevent Isabella Lockehart from killing Lady Agasta Smythee and Royster McCleagh as the party fought off Isabella's pirate crew on the lower levels.
The captain of my crew had a few weeks prior agreed to terms with Lady Smythee and entered into a marriage agreement in order to become the Lord of Tidewater Rock. With her death, obviously this may cause some problems, but not a ton.
However, the problems have now compounded more as one of the players (a Bone Shaman played off as a "Voodoo Doctor") approached the Captain with the suggestion that he could "bring his bride back" (as a zombie). The Captain admitted he did not have any REAL attachment to his deceased wife, so he gave the Shaman his blessing to proceed with his plan.
I've already decided that agreeing to allow the Shaman to do this is a HUGE Alignment violation and am moving the player's character alignment from Chaotic Good to Chaotic Neutral.
What I was hoping for is some insight and/or advice on how you might handle this situation in your game. Tidewater Rock has a small temple (mostly initiate clerics) that serve Erastil, and the people in general liked Lady Smythee. I can only imagine how they might react should they realize that their former Lady of The Rock is now a shambling undead under the control of a Follower of Urgathoa.
The big joke lately has been that the party will be doing a fantasy remake of the film "Weekend at Bernie's", so I can see some humor. But, I also believe there should be some "real world consequences" for what they are doing, and how they might be able to cover things up for awhile.
Your thoughts?

I don't know, does the oracle have a real reason for wanting to do this other than for the LOLZ? If she is killed then probably I would imagine the lordship of the island goes to her husband, so everything there is to gain has been gained. What's gained by doing this to her corpse other than alienating the islanders? If you've added clerics to the island I guess that's an even bigger problem. It's a dumb move if they want the islanders to like them. If he wants a zombie, there's obviously a pile of dead raiders he could use instead that no one would care about.
As far as doing this, I would imagine that as soon as the PCs leave the island, the islanders would destroy the zombie and then secure the tower against the PC's return. If they come back, I can't imagine they'd be welcome.
In all honesty it's a really big "if" because after "Raiders of the Fever Sea" Tidewater Rock becomes a footnote that they'll probably have no interest in returning to. As written Tidewater Rock is a thorp with a subsistence economy. After they grow past raiding ships in the south there is nothing there and there are bigger things to move on to.
It won't break the game but it's probably frustrating that players are treating NPCs so rashly because it shows a lack of buy-in to the story, so I empathize with you there.

Evil s&$+. Rob Roy Mc Lure loves her btw do he will completely lose his s~#! at the PCs if they do this. Otherwise fun! ;)
Right there with you, Purple Dragon Knight. However, he was also killed in the attack, so that's a non-issue at this point.
The problem resolved itself as, without my encouragement, the Bone Oracle decided against making the zombie. I still hit the Captain of the ship with an alignment violation (moving him from "Chaotic Good" to "Chaotic Neutral") for giving his blessing for the Bone Oracle to make Lady Smythee into a zombie.
I'll be sure to post any other thoughts and/or concerns to the boards to get your input as we advance the campaign.
