So, I'm from Finland, but I thought that it might be interesting to attend a foreign con for once. I go to a lot of cons here in Finland, and help organize one of them (Tracon, a anime and gaming convention). But I also realize that conventions in Finland tend to be kinda different from conventions in other countries. Like we never have them in hotels, they're always fan-organized, there is a heavy emphasis on having lectures, panels, etc. besides the actual gaming. Like here is the website of the largest RPG con in Finland, Ropecon, for reference: http://2015.ropecon.fi/en/rope-what/ (The name comes from "roolipeli" which is finnish for RPG).
So, I'd just like to hear from people who have been to Paizocon UK about what's it like. Does it sell out? If so, how fast? What is there to do besides sitting down and playing PFS? How does one sign up for games? All kinds of stuff like that, to finalize my decision whether to come or not.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there.
PaizoCon UK is a fan-organized event. We've generally found that people want the focus to be on playing PFS.
We do always sell out and fairly quickly.
This year bookings will open on May 4th.
You can find more info at PaizoCon UK or contact me at paizoconuk@hotmail.com.

I've been to all the PaizoCon UKs and each and every single one of them was great!
Although the con is officially just the Saturday and Sunday, there's a slot 0 on fridaymorning/afternoon and a social event on Friday night.
It's mostly PFS games (including the newest specials!) and there's the occasional author running his own creations (it's difficult to get a spot on those tables though!) and some artists that will sketch your character (for a fee).

I tried looking at the website, but there either isn't much info up yet (just the location and date) or I'm just blind and can't find it.
Not having lectures and stuff is okay, I was just wondering what I'd do if there are some slots where there is nothing to play (though considering you're running lots of specials, that might not be a problem). How much are older scenarios and high-level scenarios run? I'm just wondering because I've played almost everything below tier 7-11 from this season (7-11's I've run myself).

It's mostly the new stuff (#6-18 and above) & specials(#6-97, #6-98/#6-99). Friday daytime is some older stuff (player favorites).

Ah okay, I've just become a bit paranoid about cons selling out, we have one here in Finland where it's a matter of hours (or even minutes) instead of days.
Granted, most of those are anime conventions (the annual Desucon sold out for 2015 in 6 minutes when their online ticket sales began).
