I'm about to report the scenario, however I have a few questions.
First, the group was 1st level so they should all be rewarded Subtier 1, however the character I wish to apply this to is 2nd so shall I use Subtier 2 or 1? I know I can't do day job rolls, but he still gets 1xp, 2 pres and the gold on normal progression.
Second, looking at the chronicle sheet with the many items there is something mentioned that makes me question this. I'm refering to a sentence in B5
If the PCs fail to defeat the undead gillmen, reduce the amount of gold each PC earns by 66 gp. Do not reduce the amount of gold earned if the PCs instead defeated the encounter in area B5. Cross any items not found off the Chronicle sheet.
The highlighted area I just want some clerification as I'm probably thinking too much into it. I assume it means if the body was meant to have a +1 longsword and 1st level pearl of power then you cross them off, but leave everything else available and not the opposite where he has only two items and you cross everything else off?

1) Your PC gets the rewards appropriate ti the PC, not the rewards as if he were playing it, so 2nd level PC gets 2nd level rewards.
2) Whatever two items the encounter had, are the only items form that list that do not get crossed off the chronicle sheets, so if it had the +1 longsword and the PoP1, those are the only items that would remain from that encounter's list that are not crossed off on the PCs' chronicles.
The PCs can only have access granted to items found, not the items not found. The list is to promote replayability, which is why the two items found can be different every time played.
