Howdy, everyone! It's been awhile since I've talked about Patreon. It's a thing I definitely want to do, but we need to wait just a bit more so I only have four projects on my plate when I launch the blasted thing. The Patreon will launch with a subreddit so that we can pelt each other with insane musings without bothering everyone else, and that should be a ton of fun.
To that end, I'd like to talk about the first book with which this Patreon will lead.
I'm between the following.
1: The deathdealer cartomancer archetype, which adds a second deck of cards to the class, will be presented in a standalone version giving all the cartomancer class features, as well as a version without the cartomancer class features for those who have the base class and don't want to pay for text twice. Of course, Patreon backers will default to the standalone version to ensure there are no problems.
2: I've got a bunch of notes for a 1/2 BAB divine caster class that can be wrangled up into something pretty unique in short order.
3: Oi, here's third option! Got a strong opinion? Let's talk.

I think a brand new class is the way to go, specifically in order to launch such a project. It draws more attention, I believe.
I'll echo The Ragi on this. Your new base classes are the reason I'm a repeat customer, and it seems the best way to lure people in.
Fair enough, lads. The soulshriever is getting to be fairly difficult to pull together, but the pool system from this 1/2 BAB caster may mesh with it. I'll give that a go.
Another vote for the base classes.
