Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

I don't get to follow news on here anymore much, but I remember seeing something about new class decks coming, but cant find anything on them, so just posting this to find out all news on upcoming class decks if any, since we are like a month or 2 away

We've Got Class, And We Know It

There won't be any more class decks until August, at which point they will begin doing monthly releases.

Yes... Starting August four class decks will be released monthly

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We intend the monthly releases to continue on past 4—we just haven't said which classes those will be.

Vic.

You. You just gave me hopes for an Alchemist Class Deck!

I know one class for SURE.

The Paladin, right?
This one can already be preordered!

I think what Vic is trying to say that there will (probably) be more after the FOUR that have ALREADY been announced. One of which is the Paladin (others being Monk, Druid, Barbarian).

Yeah, that!

Eventually all classes ideally will have one.

How many classes are there in total?

Depends. I'll assume you meant only Core/Base/Hybrid classes and not Prestige Classes, since you can't gain levels in a Prestige Class until you fulfill other conditions.

Core Rulebook: 11 (all the classes that are in RotR, and the first 11 Class Decks released)
APG: 6 (3 are in S&S and 3 are in WotR)
Ultimate Combat: 3
Ultimate Magic: 1
Advanced Class Guide: 10
Occult Adventures (not out yet): 6

Technically the Antipaladin is a class but it's doubtful the Antipaladin will ever show up in a campaign as a playable character. And probably won't get a Class Deck.

So there are 31 classes that are out at the moment. After WotR, there are 6 characters not in an AP yet (Ninja, Samurai, Brawler, Investigator, Skald, and Slayer).

Sadly, I hope Ninja isn't any time soon ...

I'm already getting hit over the head with so many Wu Shens from the rogue deck. (The other week we had two Wu Shens in the party and we failed the scenario miserably.) Seems to be that Wu Shen and the rogue deck is popular with younger players. Can you imagine what the Ninja class deck would be like?

Do Ninjas in Golarion use poison?

that's my main problem with Wu Shen - she starts off no more powerful in combat than Merisiel, and half the time she can't fight things because they're undead

That's my feeling too with the Wu Shen. It feels like they are not that powerful. I had the same feeling in the RPG's. I remember in a different setting that I tried a Ninja once, felt too weak.

Now that I think of it: There are a lot of classes did I would've expected to see in Paizo RPGs, but haven't shown up yet.

That's actually why I picked Wu Shen, her abilities are a lot more situational and require a better deck construction in order to overcome her limitations. With my current deck I can handle almost anything solo, albeit requiring me to use pretty much every card in my hand to do so, with outside help I can conserve resources like blessings and allies to use for future explores instead.

I've had a lot of fun playing her due to needing to constantly reevaluate my capabilities and readjust my tactics based on cards in hand instead of having boring get out of jail free powers like Merisiel has.
