Celestial Eldrich Scion or Bloodrager gives Permanent Wings?

Though my Co-GM meant it in jest it surprised and concerned me when they brought to my attention that an Eldrich Scion or Bloodrager with the Celestial Bloodline gains wings at 12th level, and when I mentioned the how Wings of Heaven was a temporary effect... well they said that the Bloodrager's, and through such the Eldrich Scion's, bloodline didn't have a duration and the player could just 'choose' to sprout wings at 12th level.

Is this correct?

I suspect it's only active during rage... I'm away from my books ATM, though. Sorry. :)

Bloodrager's Bloodlines powers are only active while they Rage.

I'll double check, but I'm 99% sure it says as much.

That's one reason why the Sorcerer/Barbarian/Dragon Disciple is still equal to the Bloodrager - the DD's effects are always on, while the Bloodrager's are extremely temporary.

Bloodrager Bloodlines wrote:
When a bloodrager enters a bloodrage, he often takes on a physical transformation influenced by his bloodline and powered by the magic that roils within him. Unless otherwise specified, he gains the effects of his bloodline powers only while in a bloodrage; once the bloodrage ends, all powers from his bloodline immediately cease, and any physical changes the bloodrager underwent revert, restoring him to normal.

Your Co-GM is wrong; the Eldritch Scion's effect only lasts as long as their magical trance.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I thought what they said sounded off. Again though, they said it as a joke particular to the setting, I don't believe they meant any harm. I will be correcting him.
