So I vaguely remember reading somewhere on these boards that GMing Valley of the Veiled Flame does not grant you the Efreeti's Wish Boon. Reading through the boon, it has good effects, but not really game breaking effects especially considering what a Wish spell can possibly grant.
So two questions about this boon.
1. Is this the case?
2. If so, how should this information be distributed to GM's that don't check these boards, since it directly contradicts what was printed in the Guide to Organized Play at the beginning of the season, when I last checked it.
Finally, the boon that lets the slag giant repair Gamen the Misforged(Master Smith's Services), do you have to choose to use it immediately after applying the chronicle sheet to a character, or can you wait and spend the prestige at a later time(not in the middle of a scenario, obviously)?

Hmm, now I am slightly confused, i thought you can only gain the boon as a player and never as a GM.
This boon is an exception to the rule that a GM can earn any boons
on a Chronicle sheet; the boon is only available if earned during play.
But now i see that the wording isn't as clear as i thought. Can somebody clarify that for me?

The rewards a GM receives is NEVER dependent on what rewards the players receive. Unless specifically called out as it is in Vally of Veiled Flame, a GM earns full rewards on his chronicle and can pick and choose which boons are earned. The wish boon is the only example I am aware of that specifically says the GM cannot earn it on his GM credit chronicle.

I would have expected the text to read, "...only available if earned while playing.", rather than, "...only available if earned during play." to make that more clear, but it does make more sense that it is just never available to GMs.

It is specifically listed in the scenario that the GM only receives the Wish boon if the players receive the boon. I ran it twice, and my players did not get it either time.
Actually that's not strictly true.
You can only get the boon if you actually play it and earn it.
You can never get the boon by GM'ing this one.
