Diversity in Gaming: Sharing Some Thoughts On This Important Discussion

Gamer Life General Discussion

Over Valentine's weekend I was a panelist at Capricon in Chicago, and one of the panels I volunteered on was about diversity in games. Being a white guy who fits into the majority sitting on a diversity panel was an interesting experience for me. While I was aware of the fact that many players felt they were excluded or not represented in the games they loved, there's a difference between knowing people exist and shaking hands with them after a talk.

Because of that experience I had I thought I'd share some of my thoughts and offer my own contribution to the discussion on diversity and inclusiveness in gaming. Also, as lovers of RPGs we have it the easiest when it comes to making everyone feel welcome.

Here are some reasons why.
