EE4 Boss loot drop

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We only had a short time to play around with this but I wanted to point something out. When my party killed a Goblin Warchief boss at the end of an escalation, some but not all of the party members recieved Rogue maneuvers.

Should everyone in the party have gotten one or only the people who landed an attack on the boss before it died?

You might need to be close enough. Just being in the party is not good enough.
I can't tell what 'close enough' means - but I exprienced varied loot drop when I tested out fighting with a group of 1 AFK and 1 attacker near Marchmont.
This was to test out some other potential bug.

Good question.

I knocked out a wimpy Goblin escalation, solo last night. I did get "string bolos" in my bag.

In the case Ravenlute mentioned, I was close enough to require stealth to avoid pulling early, and I fired one of the first shots, so I was definitely one of the active fighters when the loot dropped. I got nothing for that fight.

Yup, everyone in the party was within close range.

The Seventh Veil / Phaeros cleared out 4 Escalations yesterday after the patch. In every case, every single member of the group that killed the boss got an expendable.

Any chance it's a "party" definition issue? If you have two separate parties (Always the case for us when we have more than six people) the loot for any kill only goes to the party members of the individual who lands the killing blow. It doesn't matter how much damage you do, if the killing blow is landed by another party, only they get loot.

@All,

Basically what Nihimon said is what we were able to do too, and everyone in the party got an expendable.

There are also some known issues where the UI shows someone to be in a party even though they're not.

That's how we thought it should work too. We had been in the same party for quite some time but a few people said they did not receive the expendable.

It's odd that we're the only ones who have had this problem. I guess we'll see what happens when EE4 relaunches.

If a character was partially desynchronized, they might not get counted in the loot drop. It is possible that a desynchronized client might be hard to detect, especially if it was intermittently desynchronizing and being re-synchronized before it disconnected.
