So, I've whipped up a Bard archetype for a non-fighty sort of bard, and I want to hear all of your opinions on it-
Base Attack Bonus:
A masterpiece bard's base attack bonus advances at half their level, as with the Wizard base class.
Spells per day:
Gain one extra spell per day of each character level.Familiar-
Gain a familiar, as with the Wizard's Arcane Bond class feature.Masterpieces-
At level 1, 2, and every 2 levels thereafter, gain a Bardic Masterpiece as a bonus feat. The Perform prerequisite for these Masterpieces are reduced by three.Written Stories(Su): A level 1 masterpiece bard collects and scribes tales so evocative and so moving that they convey the effects of bardic music or bardic masterpieces through the written word. To create an epic tale requires the masterpiece bard to expend a number of rounds of her bardic performance ability equal to twice the duration of the epic tale (maximum duration of 10 rounds) or twice the cost to activate a masterpiece, and any relevant Performance skill check is made with Profession (scribe) instead. An story affects only the reader, but it grants all the benefits that would normally apply for hearing a performance. A masterpiece bard may apply the effects of any feats that affect bardic music to her written story. A story retains its supernatural potency for 1 day per two class levels. It requires 1 hour to inscribe, a full-round action to activate, and has a duration equal to 1/2 the number of bardic performance rounds expended during its creation, or the duration of the masterpiece. Once activated, an stories magic is consumed.
