T2 Gems Moved?

I have not been able to find a single Tier 2 Gem from mineral nodes since the resource allocation. Is anyone else having this problem?

Am only miner 5.

I have however not got any Tier 1 gems in our local iron nodes since the weekend. Just iron and some non-gem mats like sal ammoniac.

I have skill 90 in mining (yay dwarven racial bonus!), and I have found significantly more gems of both T2 and T1 since the allocation.

Its either too small a sample size, or the specific hexes you are mining in.

It's got to be the hexes I'm mining in. I'm getting other T2 resources still but the gems are now absent. Still finding T1 gems in these hexes.

It is a Hex location issue here Raven, T2 Gems drop properly from the right areas, but you have to be in the proper terrain as well as high enough "level" zone to get them. EX, try Brokenlands and Monster Home Hexes in the proper elevation.

Would an escalation temporarily alter the level zone of a hex?

Gems can usually be found in Lion and Castle hexes in hills/mountains, good levels (miner rank 6 -7) also help. That, and pray the RNG doesn't hate you. :)
