Dhampir and Shifter PCs in Carrion Crown

Good idea, or bad idea? My thinking is it might attach the characters to the story a bit better, and one of my players is werewolf-obsessed, but I'd like input, please.

Dhampir's have a potential story connection to book five as would a Changeling PC. A shifter PC, I'm gonna assume they are somehow related to lycanthropes, could be tied in pretty well to book three. Of course you have the extreme xenophobia of the Ustalavan people to deal with.

I would say anything that allows you to make a deeper story for the party is a good idea.

As for xenophobia, I'm sure the characters will run afoul of torches and pitchforks at some point, regardless.
